'ALL LEVELS' DRAWING AND PAINTING COURSE. Minimum 6 students - Maximum 12 students. The All Levels Course runs for 3 hrs from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Day: FRIDAYS. Each class is $59 and we recommend you sign up for four weeks. The total for four weeks is $236. This course is perfect for absolute beginners wanting to learn to draw or paint, as well as for those with a desire to pick up their pencils or brushes from an artistic past. In this course you have the choice of drawing or painting with watercolour or acrylic paints, who knows, you may choose to do all three! Within each easy-to-follow class session, you will be guided through a variety of painting and drawing approaches to expand your knowledge and skills. Each class session will follow a different theme and within these themes, you will be able to progressively build on your learning and enhance your artistic confidence. COURSE THEMES: STILL LIFE LANDSCAPES HUMAN FIGURES and FACES ANIMALS BOTANICALS WATER, BEACH and SEASCAPES CITYSCAPES SELF PORTRAITS Skills that you will learn and topics to be covered include: *Colour comprehension including mixing, layering and blending *Brushwork techniques and control *Form and dimension *Shadows and highlights *Creative composition *Proportion and perspective *Scale, light and tone *Developing pattern and texture *Creating depth *Working with varied mediums and solvents WHAT IS PROVIDED: Standard mediums and tools will be provided, and packs can be purchased for $25, but students are also welcome and encouraged to bring their own.
